The Guards, symbol of the law, arresting Joseph K. The law can be compared to a straight structure, but as in the book it is a complete non-sense, I distorted the structure to reflect that.
The image is spread over two pages.

It is the first time K. gets confused about everything happening around him: I used a blurry background that also look like an X ray image of what's happening inside him..

K. seems very attracted by women with big eyes, and it comes back several times in the book. It might be one of the things he is accused of, as he flirts with quite a few of them.

The first audience; m.morelle, ink on paper & photograph
This represents the 1st audience K. has at the court, when he lets himself lose his temper, denunciating the non-sense of the whole procedure.

The student and the woman; m.morelle, ink on paper & photograph
A woman who pretends to be forced to please a student of the Court to preserve her husband's job. But in fact she doesn't seem to force herself so much, and get kissed by the student in front of K., who she was seducing 2 mins ago.
Use of net : in French, to "ensnare somebody" translates into "to catch someone in one's nets", so I used a net structure to illustrate the fact that the woman catches men with her exhorted sexuality.

K. fainting in the attics; m.morelle, ink on paper & photograph
This is when K. visits the attics of the Court, where lots of people work, and almost faints because of the heat and the oppressing feeling this place has. I like how the structure give this impression of depth and that it forms a sort of hole for the exit.

A guard being beaten up by the executioner of the Court. The background conveys the violence of the act.

This picture illustrate how K. is gradually affected by his trial in his work. The two tall figures represent the assistant manager and a client, who K. couldn't face to take care of. At that point, Kafka writes "When [they] leaned over his study [...], K. had the feeling that over his head the two men he was seeing taller than usual were discussing his fate"

This is a perverted little girl showing her bum when she speeds up the stairs, she also belongs to the Court.

The little girl and the stick; m.morelle, ink on paper & photograph
Again a perverted little girl that belongs to the Court, trying to seduce the painter Titorelli sliding up and down a twig in between a crack in the wooden wall.

Hierarchy at the Court; m.morelle, ink on paper & photograph
Hierarchy at the Court: there are "avocaillons" (an invented word for "lesser lawyers"), lawyers, and very important lawyers. And all of them, especially the lesser ones, are very fond of themselves and arrogant, wanting to be perceived as very powerful.
The important lawyers are completely out of reach, it is said that they have never been seen by anyone.
I used this dotted structure to show the multiplicity of civil servants that work for the Court

In the Church, K. is called by a Father. This a crucial moment where K. has the option to either escape from his own trial, or sentence himself for death...

K.'s execution; m.morelle, ink on paper & photograph
This is the end image, when K. gets executed by the guards, stabbed in the heart. I wanted a very aggessive structure behind. The image is spread over two pages.
